Experts will tell about lymphatic system cancer online

On 18 of September at 16:00 (Moscow time) the online Patients’ School will be held dedicated to onco-haematological diseases. This interactive webcast will include presentations of experts with the opportunity for the audience to ask questions and get advice on individual cases. Anyone can take part in the event; to do one need simply register following the link my.webinar.ru/event/172239/ and enter this resource when the online school is about to begin.

The free educational event is organized by interregional public movement "Movement Against Cancer" with the support of non-profit partnership Equal Right to Life. Such Patients' Schools are regularly held for already two years and are dedicated to the most important issues of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer, patients' rights, and psychosocial rehabilitation. In online mode participants will listen to doctors, lawyers, psychologists and even patients who have beaten cancer.
Patients’ School to be held on September 18, will tell about the types of diseases lymphoproliferative disorders (lymphatic system disorders), methods of their diagnosis and treatment, the possibilities of psychological aid to people with these diseases, as well as legal and organizational aspects of receiving medical care and social assistance by patients. Each lecturer at the end of his or her speech will give practical advice and answer individual questions of the Internet audience. Any participant will have an opportunity to turn to lecturers in writing (using chat / forum) or orally (in the video call format). The school can be useful not only for patients themselves, but also to all those whose friends or relatives faced with this disease.
The Patients' Schools will be opened by Gayane Sergeevna Tumyan, doct. med. sci., Associate Professor at the Department of Oncology of the Russian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education and leading researcher at the Department of chemotherapy for hemoblastosis of the N.N. Blokhin RCRC of RAMS. She will talk about the specifics of the diagnosis and treatment of lymphoproliferative disorders. The psychological part will be presented by Oksana Vladislavovna Nazarova, medical psychotherapist of autonomous non-commercial organization "Project Co-operate", who will cover the topic of psychological rehabilitation of patients with such diseases. The speaker of the legal part, chief legal expert of NP Equal Right to Life Lidia Sergeevna Moskvina, will deliver a lecture on the rights and social protection of patients.

During the webcast, consultation in chat will be organized. Participants' questions will be answered by:
• medical issues: Lali Galimovna Babicheva, oncologist (Russian Medical Academy of Post-Graduate Education);
• psychological issues: Anastasiya Victorovna Galaktionova, director of autonomous non-commercial organization "Project Co-operate", Board member of the Russian Association of psychologists in oncology;
• legal issues: Larisa Konstantinovna Zvereva, lawyer.
