As part of the Civic Forum V the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region will organize the platform “High Technology in Fighting Cancer”

The event will take place on August 7 at 11:00 am at the culture and leisure center “Voskhod” in Dimitrovgrad.

There will be more than 250 participants, including primary health care practitioners of Dimitrovgrad and Melekessky District, oncologists of the Ulyanovsk Region, members of the Association of Cancer Community of the Volga Federal District, employees of the “Ulyanovsk Oncology Clinic” company, representatives of the Medical Chamber of the Ulyanovsk Region, non-profit organization “Equal Right to Life” and the regional branch of the inter-regional social organization “Movement Against Cancer”, as well as volunteers from Dimitrovgrad and Ulyanovsk.
"We intentionally chose this topic for discussion. In Russia, cancer ranks second in the structure of mortality straight after cardiovascular diseases. Leading institutions of all countries held a huge amount of scientific research and clinical trials in this area. The Forum will not only help its participants share their experiences with colleagues from other regions, but also plan the next steps in the improving cancer service of the Ulyanovsk Region," said Valentina Karaulova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Ulyanovsk Region.
The Round Table will be attended by Yuri Egorushin, acting Minister of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region; Nikolay Dronov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the inter-regional social organization Movement Against Cancer and deputy executive director for legal affairs of the non-profit partnership Equal Right to Life (Moscow); Eduard Nagumanov, Executive Director of the association of cancer organizations of the Volga Federal District ( Kazan); Alexander Kuncevich, General Director of the Ulyanovsk Oncology Clinic; Sergei Panchenko, Head Physician of the state health care institution Ulyanovsk Regional Oncology Clinical Dispensary; Alexander Ustinin, Director of the Federal High-Tech Center of Medical Radiology of the Russian Federal Medical and Biological Agency in Dimitrovgrad; Marat Sharafutdinov, Chairman of the Council of non-government organizations for the protection of patients' rights under the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region, member of the Coordinating Council of interregional public organization Movement Against Cancer.
"As part of the meeting, we will discuss the prospects for improving cancer care in Russia, up-to-date technologies in the diagnosis of tumors, issues concerning the establishment of the Federal High-Technology Center of Medical Radiology in Dimitrovgrad, the role of patient non-government organizations in improving the quality and accessibility of cancer care in the region," noted Yuri Egorushin, acting Minister of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region.
The Forum Program will also include an informational platform managed by the Health Center of the Regional Medical and Sports Clinic, where the forum guests will be able to measure their blood pressure, body height and weight, lung capacity and the exhaled air composition with the help of smokelizers, as well as have an advice from expert. In addition, in the lobby, there will be an exhibition presented by Ulyanovsk Regional Clinical Oncology Center.
