The "Movement Against Cancer" conducted Patients' School in Veliky Novgorod

On November 29, in Veliky Novgorod the first outreach and awareness-raising seminar was of Patients' School was held organized by Novgorod regional branch of interregional public movement "Movement Against Cancer", with the support of non-profit partnership "Equal Right to Life." The seminar for cancer patients and their families was dedicated to the most widespread cancer type in women – breast cancer.
In Novgorod region, about 300 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed every year; currently about 2900 patients are registered with this disease.
"Patients' School" is a free educational event for cancer patients and their relatives. Participants will listen about what they need to know about the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer, what diagnostic methods are suitable for a particular age, options for effective drug therapy for breast cancer, what to do if this diagnosis is made.
