December 6 is the Patients Solidarity day

 December 6 is the Patients Solidarity Day. On this day, the patients all over the world unite with a common goal: struggle for high-quality, equitable and affordable healthcare. This global event really unites all people because everyone can face with patients' problems in one way or another. The motto of the Patients Solidarity Day is "One voice. United. Universal."
 High quality, equity and accessibility of healthcare still remains only a dream for many people around the world. It's time to make the dream a reality, we must come together and collectively call for patient-centered healthcare.
 The initiative of Patients Solidarity Day belongs to the Morris Moses Fund – member of IAPO (International Alliance of Patient Organizations). For the first time this event was held in 2011 in Kenia. Later the initiative went beyond Africa and began to unite people around the world.
 On December 6, 2013 Africa a number of events were hold in Africa dedicated to patients solidarity. The main issue was "Improving lives through healthcare with a focus on the patient." In particular, the campaign paid attention to the importance of patient organizations in ensuring that healthcare serves for the good of the community.
 All people and patients are equal and have a right to access the treatment they need. We need to unite and strive for access to quality healthcare for all people around the world.
