Samara hosted the Forum of Achievements of socially oriented non-profit organizations

On November 26, 2013 at the exhibition complex "Expo-Volga" the Forum of Achievements of socially oriented non-profit organizations was held of Samara region. The Samara regional branch of IPM "Movement Against Cancer" and Samara regional public organization for cancer prevention and care for cancer patients "Vis vitae" both took an active part in this event.

The purpose of the contest is to demonstrate for the public and the population of Samara region achievements of socially oriented NGOs in the protection and support of socially vulnerable population groups and all categories of citizens who are in difficult situations.
The Samara regional branch of IPM "Movement Against Cancer" pays great attention to providing health related information to cancer patients, their relatives, individuals of risk groups and population as a whole in order to facilitate early detection of cancer.
A lot of people interested in oncological issues visited our exhibition pavilion. Members of our organization Liudmila Garshina, Anna Kirileva and Tatiana Grimova actively led conversations and were answering visitors' questions. The most frequently asked questions were those related to the violation of patients' rights and improper treatment of cancer patients. The "White Book" devoted to the rights of cancer patients attracted interest of visitors. All of them were given a newspaper "Equal Right to Life" as well as booklets and folders.
As we can witness, people who visited our pavilion knows very little about their rights, patients faces a lot of problems and the need to solve them is evident. Every person shall have the right to life and maintaining of good health; there is no individual who can say that the healthcare system has nothing to do with him or her.
