Master class for oncologists and haematologists will be held in Cheboksary

On October 17, Cheboksary will host the master-class organized by the Russian Society of Oncohematologists and Chuvash republican "Association of oncologists and radiologists", together with the non-profit partnership "Equal Right to Life". The master-class, dedicated to supporting therapy in oncology, will be interesting not only for specialized professionals – oncologists, hematologists and chemotherapists, but also for general practitioners and professionals in related areas. The master-class will continue the cycle of educational projects of the Russian Society of Oncohematologists, which are held together with NP "Equal Right to Life" with the support of leading oncologists, oncohematologists and hematologists from the regions to promote cooperation and exchange of experience between specialists and to improve the quality of medical services.

During the event, leading experts will share their experiences in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of such complications of the main treatment of cancer patients as anemia and fungal infections, and will talk about the latest developments in the methods of treatment and key directions of maintenance therapy.

The master-class program will include lectures and analysis of the most illustrative clinical cases. The welcoming address will be delivered by Igor Yurievich Dolgov, doct. med. sci., chief physician of the Republican Clinical Cancer Center of the Chuvashia Ministry of Health and chief oncologist of the Chuvashia Ministry of Health.

The lecture part of the event includes the following presentations:
• Oncological service in the Chuvash Republic, 9 month of 2014 Speaker – Elena Leonidovna Dyuringer, Head of the organizational-methodological department of the Chuvash Republican Clinical Cancer Center;
• Differential diagnosis of disorders of iron metabolism in oncological practice. Speaker – Vadim Vadimovich Ptushkin, doct. med. sci., professor at the Department of Oncology and Hematology of the NI Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Deputy Chief Physician (Hematology) at S.P. Botkin Moscow City Clinical Hospital;

• Clinical guidelines for the treatment of anemia in patients with malignant neoplasms. Speaker – Vadim Vadimovich Ptushkin, doct. med. sci., professor at the Department of Oncology and Hematology of the NI Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Deputy Chief Physician (Hematology) at S.P. Botkin Moscow City Clinical Hospital;

• The problem of fungal infection in oncology and hematology. Speaker – Natalia Alexandrovna Falaleeva, cand. med. sci., senior researcher at the Department of chemotherapy of hemoblastosis, N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center of RAMS.
