Vladivostok will host Patients' School dedicated to breast cancer

On June 28 (10:30), at Radiology Department of Primorsky Cancer Center, "Patients' School" will be held dedicated to the most widespread cancer type in women – breast cancer. Participants will have an opportunity to get up-to-date information on innovative methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment of breast cancer, and have free advice of hematologist, psychologist on oncology and lawyer. This is a free educational outreach event open to patients, their relatives and all who are interested in the information on this group of diseases. Patients' School is organized by interregional public movement "Movement Against Cancer" with the support of non-profit partnership "Equal Right to Life".

A welcoming speech to the participants of Patients' School will be delivered by Liudmila Mikhailovna Litvinenko, Chairwoman of the Primorye Branch of IPM “Movement Against Cancer”. The next speaker, Svetlana Vladimirovna Krutilina, will make a presentation about breast cancer, its causes and innovative treatments. Evgeniya Valerievna Komova will then talk about the psychological aspects and how to cope with depression. In the end, Liudmila Litvinenko will make a presentation on activities of IPM Movement Against Cancer by. She will speak about objectives, tasks, contacts, literature on the topic, where and how to seek help".
After lectures participants of Patients' School will have an opportunity to ask questions to experts and get advice on individual cases.
